1. Don't Ask For Salt When You Are a Guest in Egyptian Household

If you are invited for a dinner by Egyptians and you want to put more salt in your food, don't ask them for salt. The hosts think it is their insult.

2. Carrying Pregnant Woman and Walking on Burning Coals in China.

Chinese think that the wife has an easy delivery if husband carries her and walks on burning coals with bare feet.

3. Feeding the Dead in Rome

In ancient Rome graves contain pipes that led to outside of graveyard. It is still a tradition to feed dead in Rome. They pour honey, wine and other food through the pipe to feed the dead.

4. Do Not Write Your Name With Red Ink In South Korea

In the past red ink was used by South Koreans to write the name of dead family members in family register. So if you write someone's name with red ink in South Korea you are wishing harm or death to that person.

5. Cleaning Doorknobs On Your 30th Birthday

In Germany if a woman is 30 and still unmarried she is expected to clean doorknobs of her best friends. Men get other cleaning chores.
