When I first moved to the United States of America I had to face a lot of racism for being a Muslim and South Asian. I was labeled as a terrorist because of my facial features and nationality. All this discrimination forced me to learn more about my religion and culture to figure out why I was hated so much. As I was studying my culture and religion I realized that there is a lot to be proud of being a Muslim and Pakistani. I also figured out that people stereotype different cultures and religions because they don't know much about them. Since then I decided that I will try my best to educate people around me about different cultures and religions. Cultural Globe will serve its purpose by teaching people that all religions and cultures have more similarities than differences. As I am moving to college I will continue my mission to bring awareness in the community.

I think people are shy when asked to share their stories. We must not be ashamed of our stories because it will inspire others.
